Jharkhand: The BJP and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) are to form government in Jharkhand with Arjun Munda set to become the chief minister of the state. in talks to cobble together a government in the state, which is now under President's rule.

BJP MLAs are meeting today to discuss the issue - this comes after JMM is believed to have assured unconditional support to the BJP to form a government in the state, which is currently under President's rule.

Arjun Munda is likely to succeed Raghuvir Das who is going to resign from his post.

Jharkhand has been under President's rule from June 1 after Shibu Soren was forced to resign as chief minister -- this was after BJP withdrew its support to his government.
