New Delhi: On the second day of the BJP National Executive Meet in the capital senior leader LK Advani will deliver the valedictory address and also pass a political resolution on the poverty figure.
The Rs 32 poverty figure set by the Planning Commission is said to be one of the main talking points at the meet along with corruption.
BJP leader Uma Bharti slammed the Congress saying that corruption was a big issue in the country.
"The bigger issue is corruption. Aam aadmi can't have more that Rs 32, while the Congress can gobble up crores," said Bharti.
The two-day BJP National Executive Meet was overshadowed by a cold war between the party's two big guns - LK Advani and Narendra Modi as the latter decided to skip the meet.
Though the BJP said Modi generally does not venture out of Gujarat during the navrata fasting, sources close to Modi speak a different story. They said that Modi is upset over the fact that he was not consulted before Advani announced to embark on another yatra from Karamsad in Gujarat. So, the venue had to be shifted to Bihar instead.
Sources also claim that Modi has also not taken kindly to recent re-habilitation of his old foe Sanjay Joshi. Despite strong reservations by Modi, Joshi was invited for the National Executive Meet, after being in political wilderness for almost five years.
