New Delhi: The crisis in the BJP's Karnataka set-up continues. The warring factions have now pushed the ball into the party high command's court.

On Sunday, BJP's central leaders L K Advani, Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley spent an entire day trying to find a way out without success.

The ministers who are a part of the Yeddyurappa camp led by home minister V S Acharya met the party's high command to extract an assurance on the continuance of Yeddyurappa as chief minister.

BJP MPs from Karnataka also lobbied for Yeddyurappa with the high command.

The Home Minister of Karnataka, V S Acharya said, "Advani, Rajnath and Jaitley have told us that there will be no question of leadership change."

The state unit president of BJP, D V Sadananda Gowda also confirmed, "High Command has ruled out any change."

The Karnataka Assembly Speaker Jagadish Shettar, who the Bellary Reddys want to see in the post of chief minister of Karnataka, also met Arun Jaitley. He declined to comment on the crisis in the party, though.

"No comments," is all he said to reporters who asked him any questions.

Top leaders of BJP also stayed away from the media.

But reliable sources in the party say, central leadership is offering an important cabinet ministership to Jagadish Shettar and has agreed to form a co-ordination committee to oversee the functioning of government.

The Reddy brothers who raised the banner of revolt are expected to reach New Delhi on Monday.

They have refused to fall in line and have continued attack on the chief minister. Political circles are abuzz with conjectures about who will blink first and what the Reddys get.
