Sagar: Assembly elections are around the corner and BJP is going full throttle with its campaigning tactics.
Over a thousand foundation stones have been distributed by the agriculture and co-operative ministry of Madhya Pradesh for schemes ranging from construction of school buildings to construction of drains.
"The date is very auspicious, the period is very auspicious, and also it is saving resources. Many works could not proceeed because the foundation stones could not be laid, " says, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Gopal Bhragava.
The foundation stones are for works worth Rs 180 crore, but things are not clear as to where would the money come from or how would the project be implemented.
However, the Opposition is crying foul "They are trying to fool the people. Nothing was done in the past five years and now they think they can fool the people", says State Congress President, Suresh Pachauri.
