New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s senior leader L K Advani may have been rejected by the people in the elections but he wants to prove his strength before his party members.
In order to resolve all the issues related to ideology and discipline, Advani has set out the road map for his colleagues.
He asked leaders like Yashwant Sinha, Jaswant Singh and Arun Shorie to not indulge in any kind of blame game. All three had written letters asking Arun Jaitley to be held responsible for the poll debacle.
Advani also dissuaded leaders from airing their differences on public platforms.
Reacting to reports of the BJP being confused about ideology, he stated that the party stood for tolerant and liberal Hindutva. This is a clear snub to the hardliners like Varun Gandhi or even the VHP.
Setting to rest all speculation about the BJP's alleged problems with the RSS, Advani said that he himself had been indebted to the RSS throughout his life.
In an indication that he was in no mood to quit active politics, Advani indicated that he would travel across all the states to promote the BJP's cause vigorously.
