New Delhi: The big political blockbuster that has rocked the nation over the last ten days will see its second episode being played out today.

The three BJP MPs involved in the cash for votes scandal will lodge a formal complaint with Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee on Friday.

Meanwhile, former corporator Kishori Lal has filed a defamation case against leader of the Opposition, L K Advani and the three BJP MPs for showing cash in Lok Sabha during the trust vote proceedings on Tuesday, July 22.

The petition, which Samajwadi Party denied having any involvement in, will come up for hearing at 1400 hrs IST on Friday in the district court of Allahabad.

On Thursday, Somnath Chatterjee had written a letter to the three MPs asking them to lodge a formal written complaint on the issue.

The three MPs - MP from Morena, Ashok Argal; MP from Mandla, Faggan Singh Kulaste and MP from Salumber in Rajasthan Mahavir Bhagora - had heaped currency notes before the Deputy Speaker during Tuesday's trust vote.

They alleged that they were approached by a Samajwadi Party MP.

Placing a bag on the table of the Secretary General in front of the Speaker's podium, the three MPs fished had out 10 bundles of currency notes of Rs 1,000 denomination. Shouting "shame, shame" and alleging horse trading by the Samajwadi Party, the members took turns to flash the money, prompting Deputy Speaker Charanjit Atwal to adjourn the House.

When the House reconvened, L K Advani had got up to say that that three of his MP's were offered Rs 3 crore for abstentions in favour of the UPA Government.

They had claimed that this was the first instalment of a promised bribe.

The three BJP MPs had heaped currency notes before the Deputy Speaker during Tuesday's debate on the trust vote. They had claimed that this was the first instalment of a promised nine crore rupee bribe they had received from the Samajwadi Party to either abstain or vote in favour of the UPA government. In the complaint, the three MPs are likely to say that it was essentially a Samajwadi party operation.
