New Delhi: Music, dance and a lot of starry fanfare had the ‘party’ started up as the Bharatiya Janta Party launched Radio BJP in the capital on Tuesday.
Unlike an FM station, Radio BJP is an open truck that will station itself at popular locations and urge young voters to 'rock the elections' with their vote.
"This is for the common man. It'll give them a chance to show their talent,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said.
And showing his dancing talent was the party's contender up against current Chief Minister Sheila Dixit, Vijay Jolly who was feeling rather young despite a broken foot.
“We are trying to connect with the youth, the day dreamer. My foot injury can’t stop my heartbeat and dance moves,” Jolly said.
The BJP is looking to attract the under-30 voters who form almost 35 per cent of the electorate.
The party also launched the ‘Harsh Vahini’, a float that will roam the Delhi state presidents constituency giving a dais to voters.
Song, dance and fancy gizmos, the BJP is going all out to woo the young voters, but will that be enough to rock the Congress out of power will be seen on November 29.
