Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi on Sunday claimed that states, where BJP is in power or has formed Government in alliance with regional political parties, are making rapid economic progress.

Corruption is rampant in States where the Congress and non-BJP dispensations are in place, Modi remarked during an interaction with leaders of the BJP State unit here.

Modi, who was on a day’s visit to the State to attend a private function in the City, visited the BJP office where a meeting was organised to felicitate him.

Modi spoke about the development Bihar has achieved under Nitish Kumar Government. The BJP is a partner of the Janata Dal (U)-led Government in Bihar.

The meeting, chaired by State BJP president Jual Oram, was attended by former Union minister and Odisha in-charge Santosh Gangwar, leader of the BJP Legislature Party KV Singhdeo, former minister BB Harichandan, national secretary Surama Padhi, former State BJP president Suresh Pujari, organising secretary Panchanan Rout and other State functionaries of the BJP.
