New Delhi: Will she or won't she? The BJP top brass' deadline to Vasundhara Raje to step down as leader of Opposition in Rajasthan has expired.
Raje is in Delhi and is expected to meet LK Advani and the RSS top brass on Monday.
Party leaders have reportedly said that they expect Raje to announce her resignation after the meetings.
BJP President Rajnath Singh had asked Raje to quit taking responsibility for the drubbing the party suffered in the Lok Sabha polls. After defying the party high command initially, Raje has climbed down, demanding now only an honourable exit for herself.
The former Rajasthan chief minister, who claims to enjoy the support of a majority of the 78 legislators, had said she would like to go for talks as quickly as possible to sort out the problems.
She had said her Delhi trip was delayed due to the Assembly session and the crisis in the party following the suspension of senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh.
