Kolkata: Blast at Medical College Hospital, 1 injured

Kolkata: A small explosion rocked the National Medical College and Hospital in the city injuring one person.

One sweeper of the National Medical College Hospital was injured when a plastic container containing some carbide material exploded with a bang when they tried to shake it.

No patient was, however, injured.

The bomb squad personnel have arrived to investigate the matter.

The Medical College Principal Shiddhartha Chakraborty said normal hospital services were not affected.
