Kabul: Suicide car bomb kills 2 US troops in Afghan capital
Kabul: A suicide car bomb killed two US soldiers and wounded 12 more in an attack outside a US base and the German embassy in the Afghan capital on Saturday, the US military said in a statement.
"Militants who use IEDs (improvised explosive devices) do not care who or what they target. This was a well-travelled civilian road," US spokesman Colonel Jerry O'Hara said in the statement.
"This incident will only strengthen our collective resolve to aggressively pursue enemy networks before they can hurt innocent Afghans and coalition forces," he added.
