The Inspector General of Agra Zone, PK Tiwari said that the crude bomb was kept in a bag and exploded at the reception of Jai hospital.
He also said that out of the four people injured, three sustained minor injuries and one person sustained burn injuries. All the three injured are being treated in the same hospital.
While eyewitnesses claimed they saw a suspicious man carrying a bag, it remains to be seen whether this was a planned deliberate bomb blast.

Home Ministry sources said that there were some inputs about Agra being targeted, but precautions were taken on them. Sources in the Home Ministry said that they were checking if any anti-social elements were involved in the blast.
