Bangalore: Blogs are the most happening thing on the internet these days. That's what an MSN survey of 1,000 people discovered.

An MSN India survey of 1000 people shows that 14 percent of online users blog. And most of them (around 87 percent) spend up to 5 hours a week blogging. Half the blogs are on business issues. And 45 percent of bloggers find blog sites useful sources of news.

Companies find blogs a useful forum for the employees to express views on corporate issues. Now MSN sees potential in mobile blogging.

"Today out of the total mobile revenues about 3-4 per cent come from non-SMS services. I anticipate that 3-4 per cent will rise in another 4 to 5 yrs to a 10 percent. And a part of that will come from the blogging phenomena," MSN India Country Manager Jaspreet Brinda said.

More mobile users means more bloggers and even more Internet access will fuel the growth of blogs as well. So blogging is set to become even more popular.

What is a Blog?
A blog is often a mixture of what is happening in a person's life and what is happening on the Web, a kind of hybrid diary/guide site, although there are as many unique types of blogs as there are people.
