Bangalore: Another vigilance officer was attacked in Bangalore on Friday by unidentified assailants. The attack came just days after an auditor, SP Mahantesh, was murdered in the city.
Chief Engineer Vigilance (Technical) N Devaraju was attacked after he allegedly did not give the suspects a favourable report in a case.
Devaraju is employed with the Bangalore Mahanagar Palika. He has now written a complaint to the corporation commissioner.
In his complaint, Devaraju has written that the assailants threatened to set his office on fire if he did not fall in line.
