Bangalore: Efforts will be on to dismantle the helicopter that made an emergency landing on the roof of a residential building in Bangalore. A trainee pilot of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) on Thursday made an emergency landing of a helicopter on top of a building in Bangalore.
The trainer landed the helicopter on top of Maitri Apartment in Bangalore.
The pilot and the co-pilot were safe following the emergency landing of the helicopter.
"The helicopter belongs to the rotary wing of HAL. There were many apartments and high tension wires around so the pilot made the decision to land on top of the apartment to reduce damage. The rotary wing has been damaged. DGCA officials will come and asses the situation, we think this will be lifted tomorrow." said TG Krishna Bhatta, DCP, Bangalore East.
