Bangalore: In the country's first ever midnight marathon, Bangalore chose to step out under the moonlight.

And the enthusiasts participating in the marathon were certainly excited. “I love to run and it is best at midnight,” said a participant.

The full midnight marathon was serious business with about 200 professional runners. And it was mainly the techies who dominated the smaller half marathon and the relay.

“We stay up all night anyway so I thought it a good idea to run,” said one of the techies.

“I love the challenge and I am here to see if I can do this,” said another participant.

And whoever said age was a deterrent? “I am here to test my stamina and my age and I am a vegetarian,” said another.
