Blueline claims 111th victim

New Delhi: The terror of rogue Bluelines continues to haunt the Capital streets.

Late on Monday night, the killer bus claimed the 111th victim of the year when it rammed into a motorcycle near the Lodhi Road flyover, killing the rider and injuring the two pillions.

Police are still looking for the driver and the conductor, who sped away in the bus immediately after the accident.

The injured men have been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

Police say the men could have also been at fault, since all three of them were driving on the wrong side of traffic, and were reportedly under the influence of alcohol.

On Novembe 29, 52-year-old businessman Surendra Anand was mowed down by a speeding bus near Punjabi Bagh flyover.

Anand was on his way back from Paschim Vihar after meeting a client when the accident occurred. The bus plying on route 937 hit Anand’s scooter, killing him on the spot, and injuring the pillion rider, Nasim Khan.
