Blueline kills 1 more; cab mows down 1, injures 5

New Delhi: Two persons were killed and five injured in separate road accidents in the Capital on Saturday morning.

A 20-year-old became the 97th person to be crushed to death by Blueline buses this year.

The cyclist was hit by a blueline at Sector 6 in Dwarka on Satruday morning. He was rushed to the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya hospital in a critical condition where he died.

In a separate incident, another person was killed and five were injured after being hit by a private cab at Lado Sarai in South Delhi. The cab driver has been arrested.

The accidents happened even as police have taken strong steps against undisciplined driving following a spate of accidents involving Bluelines.

Hundreds of drivers were prosecuted and scores of buses impounded in a drive against traffic violators last week.
