BMC cautions Mumbai citizens against rains

New Delhi: The BMC Commissioner has advised citizens to be cautious while commuting, as there is a forecast of heavy rain in Mumbai for the next two days.

As torrential rains continue to lash Mumbai for the fifth consecutive day, the weather department forecasts rains with strong winds.

The Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai has advised tourists to stay away from Mumbai for the next two days in view of weather forecast of heavy showers in the city

BMC commissioner Jairaj Phatak said the city had experienced incessant rains in the last 48 hours and it is expected that heavy rains will continue for a few more days to come.

He also said the citizens of Mumbai should exercise precaution while commuting as there may be some problems experienced in traffic management. He has urged the media not to create any panic.
