Chennai: In a tragic incident in Tamil Nadu, at least 13 people died on Sunday after a boat capsized at Pulicat Lake near Chennai.
As many as 11 others are still missing while three people have survived the accident which took place about 60 km north of Chennai.
Rescue operations are on.
Two cost guard shifts have been diverted and local fishermen and fire and rescue service divers are also helping the authorities in finding the bodies.
According to officials, it was a pleasure trip on a private boat so no tickets were provided. Those who have been rescued are being treated for trauma not for physical injuries.
