KOCHI: The body of a 65-year-old woman was found in the backwaters at Thoppumpady on Thursday night. According to the police, the woman had left home on Thursday afternoon saying that she had an appointment with a doctor at the Ernakulam General Hospital.
At 5.30 pm, four youths approached the Palarivattom police station, saying that a woman was missing from their locality.
The search conducted by the police led to the discovery of a body floating in the backwaters at Thoppumpady. Police say that the woman used to visit Thoppumpady frequently.
