Islamabad: Rescuers on Sunday retrieved the body of Czech Republic's envoy to Pakistan Ivo Zdarek from the wreckage of the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad, officials said.
The hotel was attacked by a suicide bomber late on Saturday night.
The death was confirmed by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Czech embassy only confirmed that the envoy had been missing since Saturday.
A security official said the body of the ambassador has been handed over to the Czech mission.
