Bollywood, industrialists laud Tendulkar

Mumbai: Top Bollywood actors on Tuesday joined industrial and political honchos in raising a toast to India's cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar at a glitzy party hosted by Mukesh and Nita Ambani at their residence in Mumbai.

It was a grand event and most members of the Indian team were present along with former players like Ravi Shastri and Sunil Gavaskar.

Shah Rukh Khan, with wife Gauri, co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders Juhi Chawla, with husband Jai Mehta were also present along with co-owner of Kings XI Punjab Preity Zinta.

The other high-profile guests included Aamir Khan and wife Kiran, producer Vinod Chopra and director Rajkumar Hirani.

A special audio-visual presentation was also showcased at the event on Tendulkar's journey after starting as a 16-year-old.

The event also saw performances by Sameera Reddy, Dia Mirza and Shamita Shetty along with a performance by Asha Bhosle as well.
