Mumbai: Bollywood's Bihari brethren got into action as Shatrughan Singh, Shekhar Suman, Manoj Bajpayee and Neetu Chandra showed up to lend their support to Prakasha Jha's relief mission for the flood affected in their home state.

Prakash Jha's brain child 'Punarvass Flood Relief Mission', Bihar has support and the heartfelt sympathies for the less fortunate people of Bihar.

"We have taken care of 5000 people under punarwaas scheme and we have put in our own money and many others have helped us," Jha said.

Though the spotlight at this event in Mumbai was on all the Bollywood celebrities present, films were definitely not on their minds at the moment.

The actors had showed showed-up to pledge their help and support for the people of the flood affected state of Bihar and most of these personalities plan to do their bit in their own way.

"I have done my small bit. It is my endeavour to pool in and give blankets, medicines and essentials to those suffering there. We have even started a relief camp in Madhepura," said Shatrughan Sinha.

"My brother has gone there with his friends and they are preparing food for them . I have personally visited that place , its not as important to be there as it is to tell them that we are with you always," assured Neetu Chandra.

But it is not just those from Bihar who are helping Jha's mission.

Ajay Devgan and Nana Patekar, who have no Bihar connection, have also contributed to the relief fund.

"Most people in the industry want to reach out and help. They have been talking about it , but didn't know where to send help. So now with this rehabilitation scheme they know where to go," Jha added.

An industry that has been in the news recently more for it's infighting, this sign of unity for a good cause sure looks like an exemplary way forward.
