The indefinite strike called by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees which consisted of over 1.45 lakh workers was called off after a resolution between the representatives of the workers union and the producers association Indian Motion Picture Producers Association. A memorandum of understanding signed by both the parties includes an agreement on the demand for increased wages and fixed work hours.
