New Delhi: The Bombay High Court will take the final decision on revoking the ban on controversial film Deshdrohi on Wednesday.
The producer of the film met Maharashtra Home Minister and other officials on Tuesday to discuss the ban.
Lead actor Kamaal Khan also met the Maharashtra Home Secretary. The film allegedly deals with the injustice meted out to North Indians in Mumbai.
It was banned as the Mumbai Police felt it could affect the law and order situation in the city.
Raj Thackeray's MNS, which had unleashed a series of violence against north Indians, also wanted the movie banned.
The film's writer, producer and leading man is - Kamaal Rashid Khan - referred to as KRK in the promos . The film claims to deal with a very recent, relevant issue that's been in the news lately.
"My movie showcases injustice against North Indians in Maharashtra. It is somewhat the story of Rahul Raj, a graduate who was killed,” says writer-producer-actor KRK.
