New Delhi: It is an important day for cine goers in India. The medium which we all have revered turns 100 and country's four prominent filmmaker come together to pay an unique tribute to cinema.
'Bombay Talkies' combines the talent of four directors who have in their own way changed the way we perceive Hindi films in present times. Each director brings in his or her own flavour and it will be interesting to see how each one of them give their tribute.
The film, comprising of four short films, has all the ingredients of a blockbuster. It has Amitabh Bachchan, it has Katrina Kaif, it has Karan Johar's commercial element, it has Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap's craft, it has the sensibilities of a woman director (Zoya Akhtar) and it even has Satyajit Ray! But will all these factors work in favour of the film? Will it be a fitting tribute to the glorious 100 years of cinema?
