Mumbai: Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's plans to make 'Bombay Velvet' with Ranbir Kapoor have been put on hold as his brother Abhinav has signed the actor for 'Besharam'. But he isn't disappointed one bit.

"I am not disappointed. It's not getting postponed. It will happen at the right time," Anurag told reporters here at an event.

In fact, he feels he has more time on hand to work on the movie, based on 'Mumbai Fables', a semi-fictional study of Bombay in the 1960s by Gyan Prakash, a historian and professor of history at Princeton University.

\'Bombay Velvet\' on cards: Anurag Kashyap

\'Bombay Velvet\' is based on \'Mumbai Fables\', a semi fictional study of Mumbai in the 1960s by Gyan Prakash.

"It's a massive film -- I have to create the city of Bombay of 1960s digitally. It can't be done overnight," he added.

Talking about the relationship he shares with Abhinav, who directed blockbuster 'Dabangg', Anurag said: "One has to realise that everybody has responsibilities to fulfill, but I had none of them. Abhinav took care of those responsibilities and he said you pursue your dream and I am here."

"The day 'Dev D' became a hit, he said 'You take the charge now, I am coming to make a film'. So that's the contribution of my brother in my life. So people can speculate anything," he added.
