Tension gripped Hayatnagar when locals ransacked an electrical office after a five-year-old boy came in contact with a high tension wire hanging from a pole and was hospitalised with serious injuries. The irate locals beat up a lineman alleging that the boy was hospitalised due to his negligence.
They staged dharna in front of the electrical office. They, however, did not lodge any complaint with police who reached to the spot after getting the information. According to police, a fiveyear- old, Vignesh, came in contact with the wire that had snapped due to heavy rains few days ago.
Locals noticed him laying on the ground and shifted him to a nearby hospital. Locals stated to police that they had alerted to the lineman about the wire but he neglected it.
