Chittagong: Duronto Rajshahi notched up their second win of this season edging out a Barisal Burners by four runs in a match that saw over 400 runs being scored in 40 overs at the MA Aziz Stadium, Chittagong on Monday.
After winning the toss, Rajshahi captain Jahurul Islam opted to bat and the decision was well supported by the opening batsmen as Rajshahi raced to their 50 in just 4.2 overs. Charles Coventry put the Burners attack to the sword early on reaching his own fifty in just 20 balls and after his departure Tamim Iqbal took over clobbering 66 off 47 balls.
Sean Ervine provided the final flourish hitting three sixes en route to his 11-ball 30 knock to finish the Rajshahi innings at 213 for 6. For the Burners, Shafiul Islam and Alok Kapali conceded just 46 runs in eight overs as the Rajshahis' got the rest 167 in 12 overs.

In reply, Burners lost Phil Mustard early but Brad Hodge (23), Sabbir Rahman (28) and Joe Denly (31) keep them in the hunt. Burners though lost wicket at crucial times and Azhar Mahmood's 28-ball 54 went in vain as Burners reached 209 for 7 in 20 overs, 4 adrift of the Rajshahi's total.
After this win, Duronto Rajshahi have four points from four games and Barisal Burners have two from same number of matches.
