New Delhi: Rahul, an eyewitness of the Delhi blasts in September is among the twenty brave hearts selected for the National Bravery Awards for 2008.
The 12yr old balloon seller gave vital information about the blast suspects. The awardees are aged 7 to 16yrs with one child winning the award posthumously.
From saving lives from drowning to fighting serial bombers and armed robbers, the children have been selected from across the country for their acts of courage.
They will receive their awards from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on January 25. The only disappointment for them this year, hey will not be riding on the decorated elephants.
Last year an elephant had run amuck at the parade so the security agencies have substituted it with jeeps this year.
