London: There is good news for all Bryan Adams fans — the singer / songwriter is working on a new album that is to be released this month, and he plans a unique tour to promote the album.
Adams' new album will be releasing after a gap of four years, the album is simply called 11, and Adams says its promotional tour will be one with a difference.
"The 11 day tour to 11 cities in 11 countries playing 11 songs starts in March, and I am up for it because I normally work that schedule anyway, I normally work 10 days a month on tour. Because it's just me and my acoustic guitar I think it'll be quite fun and I can sing at my own pace," said Adams.
The new album was recorded largely in hotel rooms and backstage dressing rooms all over the world during the past two years, and features the return of of Adams' long time collaborator Jim Vallance, with whom he wrote classic hits like Heaven, Summer of 69, and Run To You.
Adams' music is still popular in many countries, and his record of 16 consecutive weeks on top of the UK Singles Charts for Everything I Do still stands.
"There is a large and very broad audience when I perform, I wouldn't even want to speculate, mothers bringing their daughter and daughters bringing their boyfriends, boyfriends bringing their girlfriends, girlfriends bringing their sisters, everybody is out there," adds Adams.
11 will be released in the UK on March 17 and The '11 Concerts, 11 Cities' tour will kick off in Lisbon on the March 7.
