New Delhi: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Thursday protested in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly over the stampede in Allahabad during the Maha Kumbh Mela.
BSP members stormed in the well of the Assembly and raised slogans against the Akhilesh Yadav government. Armed with posters and banners, the BSP MLAs tried to disrupt the Governor's speech.
The Opposition members shouted slogans while carrying placards and claimed they were protesting against the lawlessness in the state and wanted to highlight the recent stampede during the Maha Kumbh at the Allahabad railway station. More than 30 people were killed in the tragedy.
