New Delhi: Fifteen people are feared dead and 25 others injured as a passenger bus skidded off the road and plunged into Chenab river in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, police said.
The J&K SRTC bus was on its way from Kishtwar to Doda town when it skidded off the road and fell down into Chenab river.
The incident occurred at around 0930 hrs (IST) near Prem Nagar, 187 kilometres from Jammu. The exact number of passengers travelling in the bus has not yet been ascertained.
Senior officials of the district administration are supervising the rescue operations.
