Businessman waylaid

JAJPUR: Three miscreants looted a timber merchant, Akshaya Jena, on Saturday night near Makundibindha village under Panikoili police limits in the district. The injured businessman was admitted to Area Hospital at Jajpur Road.

 Police said three motorcycle-borne youths intercepted the car Jena  and his friend were travelling in, at Makundibindha village on NH-5. They hit Jena on the head and decamped with his chain, rings and ` 3,000. All exit points of the district have been sealed, said IIC Paresh Kumar Rout.
