Mumbai: It was en evening that saw filmmakers applaud future filmmakers.
The Buzz 18-PNC shortcuts or the short film contest grand finale saw the announcement of the winners.
The winners who with their 10-minute visual delights managed to not only impress the jury comprising of filmmaker Ruchi Narain, documentary filmmaker Paromita Vohra and film producer Rongita Nandy but also managed to make some other filmmakers envious of the platform that these guys had got.
“I am very envious of the platform these guys have got,” said filmmaker, Vivek Vaswani.
"They are filmmakers who have cinematic understanding,” added filmmaker, Sudhir Mishra.
"This is very good for the new talent and out industry desperately needs new talent,” said jury member, Ruchi Narain.
As for the winners apart from a one lakh rupees cheque they also won an opportunity to make a feature film with Pritish Nandy Communications.
“I made a very good film and it was by far the best,” said a contest winner, Arunabh Kumar.
'It is an amazing platform and the best thing that one can do to enhance the propagation the film industry in our country,” added another contest winner, Amit Joseph.
So these aspiring filmmakers are definitely the ones to look out for.
