Tirunelveli: On the second day of DMK’s first ever youth congress, speculations were rife that Tamil Nadu CM Karunanidhi’s son, M K Stalin would be anointed his successor.

In a huge show of strength, the two- day DMK Youth Conference in Tirunelveli completely choked the town, with around 15 lakh people from 31 districts coming for the meet.

"It was amazing. It should be repeated every year," gushed one of the attendees.

TN DEPUTY CM? Stalin refuted the claims and blamed media for perpetrating untruths.

The buzz continued in the conference that Karunanidhi could name his son Stalin as Deputy Chief Minister. Stalin denied it, though.

"The media is only saying these things,” said Stalin, “We never said anything like this."

This is the first time that the party is organising such a huge youth event and many say that it's because MDMK leader Vijaykanth has been getting a huge response from the youth.
