Mumbai: She's adding a new twist to the term 'girl power.' Actress Priyanka Chopra who trained in martial arts for both Don and Krrish last year, is now taking it a step further in her upcoming film Drona.
"What I like is to know what I'm getting into before I reach the set. I don't like to get there and say 'Oh I can't do that'. I like to be prepared and that makes filmmaking so much more fun," said Priyanka.
Priyanka isn't the only one. He co-star in Krrish, Hrithik Roshan also trained for two months for his dramatic stunts in both Krrish and Dhoom 2.
It's fast becoming a trend in Bollywood for actors to train in specialised action forms or stunts, as is in the case of the entire cast of Anubhav Sinha's Cash.
Actor Ritesh Deshmukh took classes in street luge, a special form of skate boarding, while Esha Deol, always the adventurous one, performed some tricky car stunts in South Africa for this chase flick.
"I learned how to drive cars at 180 degrees or at 360 degrees for some shots," said Esha.
Working hard for action is fast catching on- especially with actors from the younger age bracket.
As is evident, Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan and even John Abraham have tried out a few dare devil stunts in the past few years.
