B'wood stars flock to visit Saif

New Delhi: Actor Saif Ali Khan was hospitalised on Sunday evening just before he was about to perform at the Stardust awards. He was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after he complained of severe chest pain at the award ceremony dance rehearsal.

Several tests were immediately conducted including an angiography. The actor was kept under observation for several hours.

Doctors attending to him have said that he is out of danger. Khan’s friends and colleagues from the film fraternity rushed to the hospital as soon as they heard the news on Sunday evening.

“He is in the ICU right now. He should be all right,” said filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

“I have spoken to the doctors. He is fine now,” said filmmaker Sudhir Mishra.

Doctors have advised Khan to avoid a hectic schedule for a few days. He had been practicing for long hours for the Stardust Award night at the Bandra Kurla complex, which was the venue of the function.

He won the Stardust award for best performance in a negative role for Vishal Bharadwaj’s film Omkara.
