Mumbai: Bollywood stars may aim to be cute and lovable but we know they aren't like that always.
However, now, dolls may just help them achieve that, at least for the kids.
So, if you thought you had enough of Bollywood, brace yourselves for the invasion of the dummies.
It's the attack of the clones, at least the starry ones. Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra are now ready to attack childhood across India with the Bollywood Legends range of toys launched by Funskool.
The question worth asking is whether we really want our stars as dolls? Even Kajol admits to being skeptical about being cut down to size.
“I wasn’t sure how the doll would look? Would it be a caricature? Would it look like what I'd want it to look? But when I saw the package I was happy. It wasn't like someone was making a joke of it," said Kajol.
"They had entrusted their hard-earned image to me. I felt I had to do justice to them and get their persona, " said founder of Bollywood Legends Corporation, Shameem.
The Bollywood Legend dolls come at Rs 999 a piece. And if all the usual idol worship by adults isn't enough, Bollywood now has the formula to catch them young.
