New Delhi: The call detail records case involving a Delhi police constable has just gotten bigger with two Delhi ACPs coming under the scanner. According to sources, the email IDs of the two ACPs are now under scrutiny as, according to a Mumbai Police report in a similar CDR case, they were allegedly used by private detectives to extract call records.
However, the sources add that it is not clear whether the ACPs are really involved or their passwords were hacked by the spies. The Mumbai Police is expected to question the two East Delhi ACPs.
They had arrested nine people, including a private detective, and cracked their case in February, 2012 and submitted the report in December.
Constable Arvind Dabas tried to acquire BJP leader Arun Jaitley's call records using similar modus operandi.
