New Delhi: India will renew its tryst with the "Black Magic Woman" when celebrated guitatrist Carlos Santana performs at the Vladivar Rock'N'India in Bangalore on Oct 26, a statement from the organisers said. Santana has lined up a repertoire of his Afro-Latino-Blues rock fusion classics like "Black Magic Woman", "Smooth", "Evil Days", "Dance Into The Night", "Oye Como Va", "Maria, Maria" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps".
Ashok Kapoor, president and managing director, United Spirits Limited, which is organising the festival, said: "The coming together of Santana and Vladivar Rock'N'India will create yet another benchmark in the music, entertainment and lifestyle space."
Santana has sold more than 100 million records and has won 10 Grammy awards. He was honoured with the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2009 Lifetime Award and the Billboard's Century Award and has been described as among the '100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time'.
