New Delhi: As part of an awareness drive, the Delhi Police on Thursday put up posters outside girls' colleges and schools mentioning helpline numbers and information regarding self-defence courses.
The posters also asked women to carry their identification details at all times and keep their family and friends informed about their whereabouts.
The move comes in the aftermath of the gruesome Delhi gangrape incident which had sparked nationwide protests demanding justice and safety for women.
The Delhi Police has borne the brunt of criticism from the people who allege that the men in uniform are apathetic to their concerns.
