Chennai: DMK leader and Karunanidhi's son MK Stalin has reacted strongly against the FIR filed against him by the Tamil Nadu Police on Thursday. Stalin said the case which has been initiated against him is fabricated.
He said that the FIR was filed to divert the attention from the disproportionate asset cases in Bangalore which are against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
"This is an attempt to divert the attention from the Bangalore cases. False cases have been initiated against me," he said.
Stalin added that he will bravely face the case filed against him and will not seek the court's adjournment like Jayalalithaa is doing.
"I had expected this earlier, so I am not surprised. I will bravely face the case and will not seek court adjournment's like Jayalalithaa is now doing," Stalin said.
The Tamil Nadu Police on Thursday had registered an FIR against Stalin and five others, including his son Udhayanidhi.
According to the FIR, the 6 accused allegedly forced a businessman to sell his property to them.
