Case filed against ex-deputy mayor Harish

BANGALORE: The Mahalakshmi Layout police have registered a case against former deputy mayor S Harish for allegedly threatening and abusing a BBMP employee.
 According to police, Padma, the victim, is a trainer at BBMP’s tailoring unit in Bovipalya in Nagasandra.
 She alleged that Harish and his aides, visited the centre and hurled abuses at Padma for not reporting to work at Aramanenagar Tailoring Unit for the last six months.
 The victim said she had been working on a monthly stipend and explained that the Palike had transferred Mala, another worker, in her place.
 Following a verbal duel with the former deputy mayor, she lodged a complaint at the Mahalakshmi Layout police station.
 Later, Balaji, a supporter of Harish registered a counter complaint against Padma stating that she and her acquaintances had abused Harish.
 He has also stated that there were vested political motives behind her complaint.
