Case registered against Baba Ramdev

Haridwar: A case has been registered against Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev and the General Secretary of his Divya yog Mandir Trust, Acharya Balkrishna on the orders of a local Court for allegedly hurting the "sentiments of Hindus" through a book.

Special Judicial Magistrate (II), Kali Shankar Shukla gave the orders to register the case on a petition filed by one Arun Bhadoria which alleged that a book titled "Sant Darshan" published by Divya Yog Mandir Trust has used

"objectionable and abusive language about the Hindu religion and Hindus."

Bhadoria also alleged in his petition that the police was not taking action on his complaint.

Taking cognizance of his complaint, the judge ordered that the case be registered under section 295 (a) of the IPC against Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna.

The court has fixed February 8 as the date for recording the statement of Bhadoria in the case.
