Cash-for-vote probe report to be out soon

New Delhi: The cash for vote probe is over. The allegations of money being offered to MPs to sway votes in favour of the UPA in the trust motion had rocked the nation.

The final report by the seven member parliamentary committee headed by V Kishore Chandra Deo has been adopted.

Sources have told CNN-IBN that there is no clear evidence to prove that money paid influenced the motion of confidence on the Manmohan Singh government. The committee has not gone into the trail of money delivered to three BJP MPs as recorded by CNN-IBN's candid camera. That is something which the Enforcement Directorate and any other arm of the Finance Ministry could be asked to investigate.

It is likely that the BJP will attach a dissenting note to this report. Those members who wanted to submit dissent have been asked to do so by November 6.

The Committee was formed by the Speaker after the cash-for-vote scam rocked Parliament during the July 22 trust vote.
