New Delhi: The hearing on Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh's interim bail plea in the cash-for-votes scam was reserved till September 12 on Thursday. Singh will have to stay in jail in at least till September 12.
The court has sought a report from Tihar jail authorities on Amar Singh's medical condition after the lawyer claimed that Singh needed to be in a sterile environment due to his recurrent Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) problem.
The lawyer also said Singh had to go visit a doctor in Singapore on September 9. Singh also claimed he has had Tuberculosis since January this year.
Singh has been in jail since Tuesday. The Delhi court had previously rejected his bail plea and sent him to Tihar jail over the July 2008 cash-for-votes scam.
