Click to play videoNew Delhi: The financial crisis may hit MBA placements and yet almost 50 thousand aspiring management students across the country are set to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) for the Indian Institutes of Management.
To be held in the morning session from 1000 hrs IST, the test will be conducted upto 1300 hrs and will decide the future of almost half a lakh aspirants.
The students will appear at exam centres in 23 cities. The test is being held for admission to nearly 2,000 seats in seven IIMs and several other business schools across the country.
This CAT entrance may be one of the last to be conducted by the IIMs, which had initiated steps to outsource the exams and make it external in the form of GRE and GMAT.
CAT is also likely to go electronic in two years time.
