New Delhi: The CBI has yet again announced an award for whoever gives out any information regarding the Arushi -Hemraj murder case. The move indicates their investigations are heading nowhere.
A new newspaper advertisement made it amply clear CBI still does not have any material evidence that can stand in the court of law.
This means that investigators will find it very difficult to file a final chargesheet in this case. CBI is still looking for the mobile phones of the Arushi and Hemraj and the murder weapon which was used to murder both of them.
Also, the agency is looking for a key-ring with two keys and the key to a padlock.
Initially, the CBI arrested three men -- Krishna, Rajkumar and Vijay Mandal -- and announced that the case has been solved.
Within a month of making that claim, the agency had to concede that they had no evidence to back up their charges. All the three accused were released on bail.
What was claimed as proof by the CBI was based on scientific tests that cannot be presented as evidence in court. The big question now is whether the real killers of Arushi and Hemraj will ever be found.
